It’s the drink of the moment, the one that you can find at almost any bar or restaurant you walk into.
On principle, it seems like a simple concept, mix a splash of coffee with a swig of alcohol and bang, you have yourself an espresso martini. Unfortunately this isn’t the case and if done incorrectly it will leave you swearing off coffee, in all its variations, for weeks. Don’t attempt to blindly stumble onto the ultimate espresso martini; we have the solution here for you.
We enlisted the help of expert mixologist, Jared Thibault, QT Group Bars Manager, to uncover the secret to the perfect espresso martini.
Here’s the recipe for the delectable Pascale Espresso Martini which was severed at our exclusive The Mentors Session event at the Rooftop @ QT:
Pascale Espresso Martini
30ml Martell VS Cognac
15ml Chestnut liqueur
15ml Vanilla Demerara sugar
30ml Fresh espresso
Add all ingredients to tin martini shaker and add ice. Shake hard for about 60 seconds and strain into your glass. To garnish add 3 neatly placed coffee beans and grated nutmeg.
